If a foreign citizen wants to establish an autonomous Chilean Corporation he must obtain a “Foreign Investor ID” (explained below). Once obtained, and if he is not in Chile, he must also grant power of attorney to a Chilean citizen so he can act in his name, towards Chilean notary or Chilean electronic registration system. If the foreign citizen is in Chile, he is able to using its passport and “Foreign Investor ID”.
- Visiting and working in Chile
We apply for the so-called “Permiso de Trabajo en Calidad de Turista” that authorizes its holder to work during the validity of the tourism permit.
Temporary Residence PermitThe application of this type of permit will allow the foreigner to reside in Chile for a period of up to 24 months.
Permanent Residence PermitWith this permit, the foreigner will be authorized to reside in Chile indefinitely and carry out any legal paid activity.

Workers who will remain in Chile to carry out paid activities during the validity of their tourist visa.
Permanent WorkersWe request the so-called ‘Permiso para desarrollar actividades lícitas remuneradas’ for foreigners who will formally work in a company registered in Chile.
